Gaming Training Obligations

Gaming Managers and Gaming Employees

All employees who are appointed as a Gaming Employee or Gaming Manager must undertake certain training courses in order to comply with legislative requirements. Licensees who will be performing such roles will also be required to complete the training requirements.

The new training obligations under the Gambling Code of Practice have now commenced. Please click here to access information on these new requirements including (please note this will direct you to the website of the Australian Hotels Association (SA Branch) (AHA|SA):

  • training obligations for new and current employees
  • training obligations for Licensees and Directors appointed as Gaming Employees or Gaming Managers
  • what training needs to be completed, by who and in what time frames
  • the requirements surrounding when further training must be undertaken and what course(s) will satisfy the further training obligation
  • previous training that will be recognised under the transitional arrangements
